I wasn’t ASKED to play along, but I will anyway
Stealing from a post over at Disarranging Mine, I submit 8 things you may or may not know about me. Or really care about, for that matter.
- I went to France when I was 10. Actually, when I was 9. I turned 10 while I was there.
- I have this “thing” I can do with my eyes to make them quiver back and forth. It apparently really freaks some people out.
- I share my birthday, which was yesterday, with such people as “Winnie the Pooh” author A.A. Milne (1882), actors Oliver Hardy (1892), Cary Grant (1904), and Danny Kaye (1913), “actor” Kevin Costner (1955), former hockey player Mark Messier (1961), and WWE wrestler and current world champion {Dave} Batista (1969).
- I love tomatoes but can’t stand ketchup.
- I’ve always been enamored by marine life- sharks, squids, whales, dolphins, you name it. I would have loved to have become a marine biologist. Only problem is, there’s not a great demand for them in central Illinois. That, and apparently it requires a lot of science.
- I believe that many (not all) people who golf at (or work at) public courses, especially those here in Springfield, desperately need to get over themselves. This is not Augusta or Pebble Beach, people, and NONE of you are Tiger, Vijay, or Lefty, I assure you.
- I was bitten on the ass by a cat once and woke up three days later in the hospital. Please don’t ask.
- If I would have been a girl, my mother would have named me Julianne Elizabeth.
Hey, I never said they were 8 interesting things.
(My thanks, and my apologies, to Marie)

2. That is one fine talent.
6. Thank you.
7. Oh, I must ask. This sounds like a blog post ready to be written.
8. Apropos of nothing, but sort of, you’re only the second person I’ve known who was called Johann. The first was my brother, but that’s not his name.
Great list.
Well, truth be told, Marie, it ain’t mine either.
And thanks!
